With over 30 years of experience, Michelle O'lee has built more than a career; she has built a foundation. Her journey has taken her across the country, refining her craft and expanding her perspective. She became licensed in both California and Georgia, two of the most influential beauty markets in the industry.

Michelle has also served as an instructor at Empire Beauty School in Harrisburg. There, she helped shape the next generation of beauty professionals. While she currently isn’t teaching there, Michelle continues to do what she has always done best: educate, develop, and elevate.

Through personal mentorship and in-house training, she remains deeply committed to growing the next generation of artists. This ensures that the O’lee standard is not only maintained but multiplied.

Every luxury brand has a starting point. For O’lee, it began with humility and hustle. From her early days at Shear Rubies on Riley Street in Harrisburg, Michelle O’lee built her reputation through skill, consistency, and care.

Today, that same foundation has expanded into O’lee dé Lüx Salon Professionals, located at 55 S Progress Avenue (formerly Hair Vision). What started as a chair became a space. What became a space is now an experience.

A Legacy That Dates Back to 1929

The story of O’lee doesn’t begin with Michelle; it begins generations before. In November 1929, Miss Caroline Barbour received her diploma for completing the Poro System of Shampooing and Pressing Hair, Manicuring, and Facial Massaging.

This was more than training; it was a commitment to grooming, care, and professional beauty standards. That legacy continues today through O’lee dé Lüx. What she started, Michelle O’lee refined, and now it is being expanded for the next generation.

Built With Family, Designed for Legacy

O’lee dé Lüx is not just a business; it is a family vision. Through the boutique created by RosyRae, Michelle O’lee collaborates with her daughters to pair products rooted in hair health, intentional care, and real client needs.

This work aligns with her nonprofit, Utterly Charming, Inc. This initiative focuses on uplifting, empowering, and pouring into the community, especially young women learning to embrace confidence and identity.
